Privacy Policy
The short version. You don't need an account to play anything here, and we never ask for your name, email address or phone number. Your game progress stays on your own device. Google shows the ads that keep the games free and helps us count how the app is used. We don't sell your data.
1. Who we are
This policy covers:
- the website openoses.com (the "Website"), including the games you play in your browser and the downloads on it;
- the Android app Number 13: Blocky Horror on Google Play (package
com.osmedialabs.vsports, the "App"), including the games in it, such as Haunted Penalties and Blackout Base.
Both are run by OpenOses (NexusCoreHQ), a brand of Open Source Media Labs Consultancy, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].
2. What we collect and why
Things you give us
Nothing is required. There is no sign-up and no login. If you email us, we receive your email address and your message, and we use them only to reply.
Game saves and settings
Scores, unlocked items, saved games and settings are stored only on your device (in the App's storage or your browser's local storage). They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the App or clearing your browser data deletes them.
Collected automatically by services we use
| Service | Where | What it uses | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | App | Advertising ID, device and app information, IP address, ad interactions | Show ads, measure them, limit fraud. Ads can be personalized only where the law allows and you agree. |
| Google AdSense | Website | Cookies, IP address, browser and device information | Show and measure ads on the Website. |
| Google User Messaging Platform | App | Your consent choices | Ask for and remember your ad consent where required (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland). |
| Firebase Analytics (Google) | App | App instance ID, device model, OS version, country, app events such as screens opened and games played | Understand how the App is used and fix problems. We see this data only as totals. |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) | App | A push token for your device | Send notifications, such as news about new games. |
| OneSignal | Website | A push subscription ID and browser information, only if you allow notifications | Send browser notifications. |
| Google Analytics | Some Website pages | Cookies, pages visited, approximate location | Understand which pages people use. |
| YouTube embedded player | Website video feeds | Cookies and viewing data, set by YouTube when a video plays | Play the short videos in our feeds. |
| Our web server | Website and App | IP address, browser, pages requested, time (server logs) | Deliver the pages and keep the service secure. |
These services are run by Google, OneSignal and YouTube under their own privacy policies: how Google uses data from sites and apps that use its services, Google Privacy Policy, OneSignal Privacy Policy.
App permissions
The App asks only for internet access and, on Android 13 and newer, permission to show notifications. It does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.
3. Your choices
- Ads: where consent is required, the App shows a consent form when you first open it, and you can change your choice later from "Privacy options" in the App's menu. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings. On the Website you can manage personalized ads at Google Ad Settings.
- Notifications: turn them off at any time in your phone's settings (App) or browser settings (Website).
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some features, such as video playback, may then not work.
- Game saves: clear the App's storage or your browser data to delete them.
4. Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above so they can run their services for us, or when the law requires it.
5. How long data is kept
Game saves stay on your device until you delete them. Server logs are kept for a short time for security and then deleted. Analytics and advertising data is kept by Google, OneSignal and YouTube according to their own retention settings. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer you.
6. Your rights and deleting your data
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the UAE data protection law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to its use. Because we don't have accounts, most data is either on your device or held by the services above. Email [email protected] with your request and we will help, usually within 30 days. Uninstalling the App stops all collection by the App.
7. Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and some of them, such as Blackout Base, are rated for older teens and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
The Website and the App use encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the data we handle to a minimum.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Website or the App changes. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
