How to play Blackout Base

Blackout Base is a classic first-person horror shooter. Something has gone wrong at a research base, the lights are out, and the corridors are full of monsters. You start with a pistol. On the way you find a shotgun, a chaingun and heavier weapons, plus ammo, health and armour.

Every level is a maze of rooms, doors and secret passages. Find the coloured keycards to open locked doors, flip the switches, and reach the exit alive. The levels come from Freedoom, a free and open-source game, and run on a real 1990s-style engine, so it plays the way the old shooters did: fast, dark and loud.
